We have been guiding steelhead anglers on the Salmon River near the mountain town of Stanley since guiding this run of fish was allowed in the 1980's. Salmon River steelhead travel 900 miles to spawn in the Upper Salmon River, making this the longest run of any anadromous fish in the world.   It is a very special experience fishing to these fish beneath some of the most spectacular mountain peaks you will ever see. Our season runs from late March, when the fish first arrive, to the end of April and sometimes even into May.  We welcome our steelhead anglers to stay in our charming lodge in Lower Stanley. There you can sit and admire the magnificent Sawtooth Mountain while enjoying one of our three home-cooked meals. It will be the experience of a lifetime.
